THE RAW TAPES #16: KRISTOBAL
Kristobal started producing Jungle and Drum’n’Bass in his early teens. Just after the millennium he got in to DJ’ing 2step and UK Garage and went on to co-found the award winning DJ/producer/promoter crew OHOI! Since 2002, Kristobal and OHOI! have organized more than a hundred successful club-nights. Among these are the annual mighty RAW raves.
Finishing his BA in Music Management at the Royal Music Conservatory of Copenhagen, Kristobal is also putting his mark on other parts of music life in Copenhagen. With such varied past activities as managing a Heavy Metal act and being a board member of one of Copenhagen largest music venues, you can truly say Kristobal is a diverse personality.
As a DJ Kristobal has kept dancefloors vibrating with all kinds of UK urban Bass-heavy music. In the past 4 years, his main focus has been the rough and uncompromising Jump-up Drum’n’Bass. This outstanding contribution to The RAW Tapes series- including one of Kristobal's own tracks, a major banger - is indeed rough and uncomprising, so jump up! ... And big-up to Kristobal for his contributions to the underground of Copenhagen!
