CONFIRMED FOR RAW 2010: ELOQ

August Fenger Janson also known as ELOQ from the Danish New Folder collective, is one of the young and promising beatmakers who delivers the wonky sound of L.A to Scandinavia. He has already, in the young age of 19, warmed up and shared stage with names such as: Flying Lotus, Daedelus, Débruit, Lukid, Ramadanman, Anti-Pop Consortium and Mary Anne Hobbes.

His style reflects a mix of abstract soundscapes, poppish behaviour and headnodding beats. His deep love for both old dusty soul vinyls and old creepy electronic progressive music is clearly shining trough in his productions. His tracks have appeared on 5 of Vuf Records compilations and also on the critically acclaimed Danish "Elektronisk Tirsdag 09 Kompilation", which, among others features names such as Booka Shade, Trentemøller, Lulu Rouge and 2000F.

His DEBUT EP is coming out in 2010 and will be released on the record label Hobby Industries' little brother: Oh Boy. And after his EP is out he will focus on a fullblown solo album with feature artists!

Eloq is also a DJ who plays under the name DJ Bacon and organizes parties in the crews AK*47, Lortehænderne (Poo Tang Clan), Seven Hearts Club (RUST), LEAN (Dunkel) - and he's behind Distortion Festival's e-spine Action Hygge, which is not only a main source on what's going down in CPH but also an eventmaker group.

ELOQ will open this year's RAW on Arena 4.
